Things That Club Members Should Know
1. TSA formed in 1973 by Wm Hogston
2. '75 1st Commodore Mike Mirabella
3. Preston Burgee
4. 1st Regatta '77 which all local clubs are invited
5. Honorary Membership shall be offered to those
people deemed 'friends of the TSC'
6. 1, Sept - Dues $60/yr. Initiation $35.
6.1 Beginning Jan of following year, new members pay initiation fee of $35 + $5 for every month until September.
7. Sept - Commodore selects/announces nominating
committee (NMT 5 members, 3 past commodores if avail)
at mtg and in newsletter
8. Oct - nominating committee recommendations
announced at mtg and in newsletter. Membership
nominations may be made from the floor. Ballot mailed
out w/ newsletter (ret by Nov. sealed/signed)
9. Nov - election
10. Dec - Awards Banquet, elected officers inducted
11. Commodore appointed committee - sunfish. Vice -
just about every other committee.
12. BOG approves new applications and funds > $200
13. Quorum - 10
14. Club's membership to US Sailing due in Jan.
15. US Sailing membership gives the club a break on insurance costs.
14. Sloppy Joe's traditionally follow New Year's Fun Race
16. A Traditional Spaghetti Dinner falls on the eve of Ann'l Regatta (but not provided in 2007 in lieu of TITUS Nights Downtown Street event - could become a new Regatta tradition).
17. The "Bag Lady" visits the club every Dec during the Christmas Party
18. March is an excellent month for a club-dinner out
19. Members like to lend a hand in a work party during Easter Weekend
